I just did the top of my dining table with old white magnolia chalk paint , then used the clear wax and then applied the black wax and lightened the black wax with a little more clear to soften the color. I was told that was how I should do it. I then distressed the edges of the table by sanding them. I feel like I see either brush strokes or streaks from applying the wax. If I were to use a sealer or polyurethane, matte finish would that smooth that out and do you apply that going in one direction to not see brush strokes?Thank you!
